I couldn’t be happier that this crazy work week has come to a close. I plan to spend most of the weekend relaxing with my family and tackling the mountain of laundry we’ve managed to accumulate. Hope you all have a great one! Here are this week’s Ten Things…

1. It feels like fall here in Nashville and I finally get to wear my favorite sweater of the season.

2. Broad City is BACK!

3. How to talk to your kids about white privilege.

4. 2017 Emmy predictions are in.

5. Gucci’s new campaign stars share their favorite objects.

6. I want to try making a raw cheesecake this weekend. This recipe looks promising.

7. What you therapist really thinks.

8. I just received Karen Mordechai’s latest cookbook Simple Fare Fall/Winter. It’s gorgeous!

9. I am completely obsessed with this velvet blazer.

10. The best street style from New York Fashion Week spring ’18.

I listen to The Longest Shortest Time podcast, even though I don’t have kids. They did a piece on how to talk to kids about race/white privilege as well and I’ve been trying to get everyone to listen to it. At one point they talked about how kids whose parents stayed quiet and “colourblind” on race assumed they held hostility toward other races. It’s the big things and the little things and through teaching we usually learn something ourselves. (my opinion – I’m learning!)

I see that you are planning a very intensive week. Please write as you went cheesecake.
    Have a nice week.

    Try this raw cheesecake too!

It’s so good, and very simple. I found that this particular crust is simple, delicious and translates well to may other raw deserts (ex: you can make a raw chocolate avo pudding and this crust as the base).

My family has a bunch of food allergies (life-threatening) and food sensitivities (non-life threatening but problematic). And my kids are allergic to all the opposite things. So I am constantly looking for inspiration and ideas. In the spirit of sharing, I hope you enjoy this!
