Now that things are settling down for us a bit, we finally have the time to complete some more projects around the house. So far, we’ve put on a new roof, redid our laundry room, and replaced all of our kitchen appliances. Over the next few months, we are finishing up the kitchen upgrades, installing new flooring on two floors, fully gutting four bathrooms, repairing and repainting the siding of the house, and tackling landscape upgrades this spring. We’ve already ordered wood to replace our old carpeted floors upstairs, selected an exterior paint color, and have made all of our bathroom selects as far as tubs, sinks, and fixtures are concerned. Now, we’re trying to make final decisions on bathroom tile. Who knew there were so many choices to make when it comes to the room that houses your toilet? Floor tile, shower tile, sink fixtures, tub fixtures, sink type, towels bars—it can all be a bit overwhelming, but, we are almost there.

All of that said, we’re been looking to different home design sites for inspiration. At the end of the day, you can only look at so many swatches before you need to visualize what the outcome will look like in real life. This house is one of my all-time favorites. The clean lines and minimalist, yet intentional decisions are so smart. I mean, just look at that staircase!
