We’ve owned our home for a few months now, and since my hectic travel schedule has slowed down, we finally have time to focus on our remodel. Our current bathroom situation is quite outdated and all four of them could use a facelift. The downstairs bathroom has a tan seashell-shaped sink, and brown floor tile. This is our main communal bathroom and is top priority on our bathroom remodel list! Our master bathroom looks like a ’60s inspired cockpit and does not get any natural light, so it’s second on our list and then the other two kid bathrooms. We are starting the renovations soon, and have been collecting inspiration photos and picking out new cabinets, fixtures, tile, toilets, and tubs.
I love black hexagon tile with grey grout for the master bathroom floor, coupled with black penny tile in the shower and white walls. I was super inspired by the bathroom in our suite when we stayed at Hotel Saint Cecila. We are also going to add a window in the bathroom, which will make a massive difference in the space. It is so dark in there currently. As much as I love taking baths, we are thinking about making our master have a walk-in shower with his and her shower heads. As for the kids’ bathrooms, we are going to keep them minimal and white. For the main floor, communal bathroom we are thinking of doing a fun, blue tile design (inspired by Intelligentsia’s Silver Lake location), with white and maybe a few wooden accents. There are so many options out there for tile, grout, hardware, etc., and we are having a hard time deciding, but getting closer! Here are a few of my inspiration photos…
